Benedikt Klausner's job is to detect insurance fraudsters. He uses unusual methods to catch them - he sees into the past and talks to the beyond. He successfully conceals his abilities until the businessman Miller kills his well-insured wife. Convicting the murderer then ceases to be a matter of money and becomes a personal matter for Benedict.
