Green roofs

In urban environments, green roofs beautify the tops of buildings. At the same time, they are a pleasant place to relax or to spend leisure time actively, they fulfil an aesthetic function. Thanks to new and increasingly better materials, architects are designing greenery not only for flat roofs, but also for sloping surfaces and even for building envelopes. Guidance on how to do this and whether to go for greenery on your roof can be found in this publication with a large number of photographs, technical documents from completed buildings, lists of suitable or unsuitable plants and experience with irrigation and roof maintenance.
