Few books have burned themselves into the hearts of readers like Grandma
Few books have burned themselves into the hearts of readers as deeply as Grandma from the pen of the famous Czech writer Božena Němcová.
Over the years, it has been published in many editions and the idyllic village life, centred on the figure of a wise, pious and superstitious old woman, has attracted prominent Czech artists and illustrators. There are works where time and space do not play a role. My grandmother is clear proof of that.
