Functional Efficiency of Self-sufficiency Test (FEST). Manual

Functional Efficiency of Self-sufficiency Test (FEST). Manual
FEST is a quantitative test that, thanks to notes on individual activities, also allows for a qualitative assessment. It was standardised for adult patients post-stroke (over 18 years old) as part of post-acute rehabilitation care in inpatient rehabilitation facilities. The results of FEST are objective concerning the patient's clinical condition, but their significance depends on the patient's social background. FEST consists of 30 items, divided into 9 categories of activities (mobility, stability, locomotion, dressing, hygiene, eating, household care, communication, and finances). It allows for an adequate assessment of the current level of self-sufficiency in everyday, predominantly personal, activities for patients post-stroke.
