Forgotten Murder

The Forgotten Murder audiobook is the last case of Miss Marple, for all lovers of classic detective stories. The author is Agatha Christie. Read by Růžena Merunková, Jitka Ježková and Jan Meduna. Agatha Christie takes us to the charming English seaside resort of Dillmouth, where the young newlyweds Reed buy a small Victorian villa. But as mysterious and unpleasant fragments of memories begin to come back to her, Gwenda Reed slowly becomes terrifyingly certain that she has been in this house before and witnessed a murder. With the help of Miss Marple, will she be able to piece together a puzzle from the shards of consciousness buried deep in her memory that will reveal the secret of an ancient crime? The Forgotten Murder was apparently written during the war, but was not published as Agatha Christie wished until after her death in 1976. The story is reminiscent of some earlier cases, such as Murder in the Rectory (Vyšehrad, 2018). In Forgotten Murder, we once again approach the typical atmosphere of good old England. Gwenda, who grew up in Australia, comes to England looking for a place to settle down with her husband. She discovers a house that completely captivates her with its atmosphere and they move in enthusiastically. But more and more Gwenda feels that she has been in the house before. And she even witnessed a murder here! With the help of Miss Marple, they gradually begin to unravel the mystery of the mysterious girl Helena and get on the trail of an old crime... The end of the story symbolically takes place in Agatha Christie's birthplace, the coastal resort of Torquay.
