Foot scratch

An Indian summer in Småland. Shortly before a long-awaited decision is made about the future of a vast nature reserve, protests against the deforestation are peaking. In this tense situation, a desperate teacher reports that pupils on a school excursion have gone missing, having got lost in this very inaccessible, wooded area. A large-scale search operation is launched. When the first pupil is finally found, severely traumatised by what she has experienced, Inspectors Ingrid Nyström and Stina Forss take over the investigation. They find themselves caught in a whirlwind of brutal crimes, passionate disputes, and long-held secrets.
