Flowers of Death

A shrill scream in a quiet London street disrupts a quiet Saturday afternoon and sets off a series of events that profoundly affect the life of one bystander.

Eustacia Rose is a professor of botanical toxicology. At home, he tends to his extensive private collection of poisonous plants with meticulous care. Every day she follows a strict and unchanging routine of taking care of her plants, because if she is careless, she runs a real risk of death.

Eustacia lives alone, and every day is a reminder of the last. Until he hears a scream from the house next door and can't resist the temptation to find out what happened.

Through her telescope, she is drawn into the life of an extraordinarily beautiful woman. She soon discovers that several men regularly appear around her, and over time she begins to study these men and keep a record of their visits. It does so with scientific precision. He gives each of them a nickname after a plant whose poison has the same toxic effect they have on the young woman. And gradually she begins to realize that it is her duty to protect her from these men – just as she would protect a rare plant in her collection.

But when the murder eventually occurs, that has a direct connection to the young woman's life, and it's gonna show, that the murder weapon was the poison of an exotic plant, Eustacia becomes a suspect in the crime, that she didn't commit.
But to prove her innocence, she must first deal with the demons of her own past.
