Flow in sport

The book deals with the still relatively new and difficult to grasp phenomenon of flow in the field of sport. This seems important for several reasons. In addition to the fact that higher performance across all sports can be expected when experiencing peak performance, this state also has a significant contribution to satisfaction with life in general.

The publication was written at the Faculty of Sports Studies, Masaryk University.

Based on the results of a large number of studies, the book presents this issue in as much detail as possible. In places, it also looks critically at individual studies, with the authors attempting to outline their own perspectives. It is not only based on research from the psychological environment, but also from the environment of (neuro)physiology and biochemistry.

The interviews with professional athletes, to whom the research can be applied, are an added value for the lay reader. The book is intended not only for coaches, parents of young athletes or professional athletes, but for practically everyone who at least recreationally practices physical activity. It can bring him even more experience after reading the book.

For parents of young athletes, it can become a good helper not only in their children's journey to better performance on the field or athletic oval, but above all to a well-lived life.
