Fiat 500
The child of post-war euphoria, the Fiat 500 literally put Italy on four wheels. He was a symbol of youth, optimism and everything Italian. The first comprehensive Czech publication provides an incredibly detailed overview of the technical, economic and historical facts about this sympathetic car. The very compact and simple car was born in 1957, and by the early 1980s just under five million of them had been produced in various countries. The book starts with a detailed mention of the pre-war small Fiat 500, called Topolino, and its post-war generation. They were followed by the "New Five Hundred", which later became a global icon of the smallest folk cars. A separate chapter is devoted to the sports variants of the Abarth and Giannini modifiers, formulae and record-breaking cars. The descriptions of each version are accompanied by basic technical data, pictures and examples of the original brochures. The chapter on the five hundred in Czechoslovakia is also interesting. The book concludes with the introduction of the highly successful new generation Fiat 500 in 2007.
