Emilka

Emilka came into the world in a village near Brno during the First Republic and left it when her country became free again. She never left this region, living her life through the eventful 20th century, the consequences of which she could not influence. Although Emilka's life was interwoven with the joys and sorrows of an ordinary person, she never lost the strength to face them bravely. This novel is about true humanity, the beauty of pure goodness, and the souls of ordinary people whose stories we also know from our own surroundings.
