Education by daughter

The family of two pharmacists, Helena and Tomáš, living in a small town in South Bohemia, goes through two fundamental tests of love. Love in the relationship between both partners and then parental love. Life with two children – Antonia and Vojtěch – forces not only parents but also grandparents to overcome various prejudices and find the courage to love unconditionally. Can everyone do it? At what price? Parents and grandparents have their own ideas about what their offspring should be like and how they should live up to their expectations, but that' s not how life works. It seems almost insurmountable not only for the great-grandfather from the horse farm where the young family likes to go, but also for the pharmacist Helena, to accept the reality about Vojtíšek and Tonička. The great-grandfather doesn' t have much time to accept his great-grandson as he is. Mother Helena, in turn, must learn to respect the daughter she literally dreamed of. As the story progresses, readers may realize how many mistakes they make in life, and that there is always time to try to fix them. That every relationship needs to be built. It will never be just good without people reaching the bottom of their possibilities. It will never be what anyone dreamed it would be. However, if it is to be loving, it needs to be worked on. Accept, compromise, tolerate. Is it achievable?
