Detvanka

Set in a small town at the turn of the millennium, the story of a girl learning to understand the world, her family and herself. Ping-pong, bike, cherry cola, seven cards, first loves and moments, that sometimes hurt, alternate against the background of the emergence of modern Slovakia. The country is changing, it is becoming part of Europe, and we are changing in small towns. Detvanka is an intimate novel about the places that stay with us forever and shape us.
