Defenders of Civilisation

Civilisation must continue.

This is the motto of the ruling Hankerson dynasty, and Daniel Hankerson lives by it. Alongside his allies, he has survived betrayal and assassination attempts and has thwarted the plans of the New Protectorate—enemies who believe in absolute order, to which they subordinate everything else—multiple times. To defeat the New Protectorate, Daniel's side needs a large fleet, but most of the Imperial Navy is engaged in a bloody war on the other side of the empire with another ancient enemy—the Ralgars. Daniel therefore faces his most difficult task yet. He must persuade the Ralgars to make peace with the Empire. But peacemakers often find themselves in greater danger than warriors.

If they want to survive and defend civilisation, they have no other choice.
