Ten crime stories about real crimes from 1971–1993
These thrilling stories from the pen of author I. M. Jedlička describe the investigations of shocking crimes that went down in the history of Czechoslovakian criminology. In their day, these were well-known cases. The story 'The Perpetrator with a Dot in His Eye' recounts the 1981 search after a female torso was found in the Vltava River. Thirty years after the case known as 'The Squaring of the Woman,' criminal investigators once again dealt with a horrific discovery in the river. No connection to the old murder was proven, yet the outcome of the investigation was terrifying. The story 'The Ancient Shell Game Trick' describes the takedown of a network of shell game hustlers who, in the first half of the 1980s, robbed hundreds of people of their property in Prague and other cities. The reading is performed by actor Petr Stach, known for his role as the investigator Captain Anděl in the TV series 'The First Department Cases'.
