Cyberbullying

The book represents a relatively new social phenomenon that is currently receiving a great deal of attention in education, the media and academia. The reader will learn about the phenomena associated with cyberbullying (aggression and aggressive behaviour), the differences from traditional (school) bullying and how this new form of bullying is shaped by the specific nature of the online environment. Space is also devoted to cyberbullying in the Czech and international context and its media image. The characteristics of its actors - victims, aggressors and bystanders - are presented in detail. Attention is also drawn to the possible effects of cyberbullying and the ways in which its victims cope with it. The final part of the book focuses on the possibilities of prevention and management of this phenomenon at the individual, family and institutional level.
