Crota
A great novel that combines horror and Indian mythology
Sheriff Skip Harding is investigating a double murder that has shaken the quiet town of Logan, Missouri. The slaughter seems too brutal to be perpetrated by a human. Was it a bear? But there are no bears in the area... The bodies are piling up and Skip soon discovers that bullets are useless against this enemy. Only with the help of park ranger Jay Little Hawk and the wisdom of Lakota shaman George Strong Eagle can he stop the monster before it's too late. The story mixes elements of action, horror and Indian mythology. The novel won the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel and was also a finalist for Best Novel.
