Coloproctology

Selected chapters of the book provide an overview of current topics in this surgical specialisation.
It covers minimally invasive approaches in colon surgery, the robotic approach in rectal surgery, colourectal cancer, and proctology issues. Other topics include measuring the quality of care provided, centralised care, and day-case surgery. As in other fields, diagnostic options and treatment methods have expanded, and the organisation of care has changed.
The aim of this publication is to provide information on the developments that are changing diagnosis and treatment in coloproctology, the current approach to the management of treated diseases, and to expand knowledge of new trends in this field.
The book is intended primarily for postgraduate education in surgery.
