They have never had such a ruthless enemy against them. The gripping finale to the Elena Blanc series.
Inspector Elena Blanc faces the most powerful and ruthless adversary of her career. A secret organisation called the Klan connects leaders in politics, business, justice and the police - and to stand up to it is to risk your own life. When Elena receives a video of her severely injured colleague Zarate, she makes a fatal mistake. Accused of murdering a police officer, she finds herself unsupported and on the run while her team searches on their own. In addition, a new inspector is entering the investigation to replace Blanc - but she may be serving the Klan. As the brutal murders mount, a race against time begins, with Elena having to cross all boundaries to save her team and Zárate. The crushing conclusion to the bestselling series from the pen of Carmen Moly brings the elite Case Analysis Unit to the brink of extinction.

Carmen Mola
Carmen Mola is a Spanish author of detective novels. In 2018, her debut The Ceremony (La novia gitana), starring the police commissioner Elena Blanc, attracted huge interest, followed by the equally successful second part The Purple Net (La red púrpura). After the third installment in the series, Year of the Pig (La Nena), a stand-alone thriller called La Bestia (The Beast) was released, which immediately tore up the bestseller lists. When in 2021 he won the literary prize in the Premio Planeta competition with a large financial reward, the real authors decided to reveal their identity: behind the pseudonym Carmen Mola is a trio of writers and screenwriters Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercero.
