Chess and checkmate

TWO CHESS OPPONENTS IN A GAME OF LOVE

Mallory doesn't play chess anymore. She gave up her dream to attend to her sick mother and younger sisters. In another universe, she'd probably be going to college right now, but instead she's taking shift after shift at the auto repair shop, trying to earn enough to keep the family afloat. Everything changes when Mallory decides to participate in one last chess tournament and by chance manages to beat chess grandmaster Nolan Sawyer. Nolan is shocked to lose to a completely unknown toy. But what surprises him even more is that he's eager to fight her again. It would have been much smarter to back out, so what's going on with him? For Mallory, this win is a path to cash prizes that would take the thorn out of her side. But they soon find out just how fierce (and attractive) the competition can be...
