Carriage to the unknown

In July 1789, the French Revolution drove thousands of members of noble families from their homes. Many lost all their possessions and barely defended their lives. Two sisters who seek refuge with relatives abroad also embark on a precarious journey. They will head first to Rome, then later to the south of Italy. But turbulent times, old family feuds and new intrigues drive them out of every asylum. They try in vain to find a home with the people they have relied on so far. Their last hope is a small estate somewhere in Austria. With new expectations, they set off for a country they have hardly heard of before - Bohemia.
