Carlo Collodi: Pinocchio

Master Antonio, or Master Cherry, one day got his hands on a nice log. He was about to make a leg of it to the table, when a faint voice came from the log! Thank goodness Godfather Geppetto came and took the talking piece of wood away! What happened then? How did Pinocchio get his name? This wooden doll was created by Italian writer Carlo Collodi more than 130 years ago, and he may have been surprised himself when, after all the mischief and pranks he'd pulled, it came to life at the end of the book. He has become a real boy and quite a good one at that. Radio fairy tale classic with Ludek Munzar.
