Borrowed life

A romantic comedy for fans of the popular film The Holiday

Two friends from their university days, Lena Browder and Olivia Westcoat, meet by chance at an unexpected crossroads after thirty years: in an airport lounge in Atlanta. They both feel that their lives have reached a dead end and are determined to start again and differently.

Lena is on the run from her abusive husband and her ungrateful and incompetent adult daughter. Even after two years, Olivia can't forget her ex-husband, and she's in a completely different place in her career than she'd like. Both long to leave the past far behind and start anew. They euphorically toast a new beginning, which starts with a spontaneous decision.

They agree to swap housing for a month of rediscovery. Lena will live in Olivia's modern apartment in Charleston and Olivia, in turn, will live in Lena's abandoned riverside cabin in Virginia. Two perfect places to escape. Thirty days to start over.

The next month will give both of them the opportunity to look back on their lives, re-evaluate their attitudes and open themselves up to new opportunities. With a new perspective and a rekindling of an old friendship, Lena and Olivia not only find their passions, they rediscover themselves and reclaim what they have lost. And when an unexpected romance appears on the horizon and a chance to take your career in a whole new direction, it's time to take a risk. To really get a second chance, they will both have to do something, rethink and change a lot. Will they eventually have the life they dream of?
