Booze

Mines, booze, football, bullying... A novella by a Czech screenwriter about the coming of age of Jan, a promising footballer growing up in a mining town in the early nineties. He lives in a flat not only with his irritable father and seriously ill mother, but also with the ever-present bottle of alcohol. Jan is a victim of his father's physical punishments and bullying from his teammates, but what crushes him most is his own fear. Will he dare to rebel? A vivid, sparsely written text about a topic that unfortunately never ceases to be relevant.
