The fates of young people and the fate of Czechoslovakia unfold in parallel. The novel's main characters influence the course of events in 1989, but the revolution also intrudes on their private lives. Surrealism interwoven with history. Four lives – an artist against the State Security, a mathematician caught in a series of unpredictable events, an organiser and her doubts, and a charismatic, emotionless revolutionary. How will their lives intertwine? Are talent and love enough to defy one's own self? Many times we unwittingly trigger an avalanche of events, letting our own insecurity discourage us on the path to happiness.
