Once, it was just a game. Five children, an old torn piece of paper, and a few sentences that promised wishes would come true. All they had to do was read them aloud… and wait. Nothing happened back then. Or so they thought. Time passed. The memories faded. Their lives went in different directions. And then, twenty years later, they meet again. At a class reunion, they learn that one of them has ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Lost, broken… trapped by his own wish, which started coming true far too late—and in a completely different way than he had once imagined. What was that game really about? Where did it come from? And why do they all have the feeling they’ve overlooked something? With every step closer to the truth, something else returns. Something that makes no sense. Something that shouldn’t have appeared, yet was always there. Maybe it’s just a memory. Maybe just a figment of the imagination. And maybe someone has been watching them all this time.
