Bilirubin and internal diseases

The aim of this publication is to summarize the current knowledge in this rapidly developing field and to outline further possible clinical implications. In particular, the relationship of bilirubin to oxidative stress-related diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and rheumatological diseases. The publication addresses the following issues compared to other publications on the market, which are minimal, a new approach to the topic - it does not neglect modern knowledge, and thus departs from the traditional concept, also deals with the interdisciplinary significance of disorders of bilirubin metabolism, epidemiology of oxidative stress diseases in relation to bilirubin levels, etc. The book is intended mainly for gastroenterologists, hepatologists, internists, but also for general practitioners, medical students and the general public.
