I am a man who was born of pain and raised

in the chaos. I'm Hawthorne. I was born into wealth that laughs at suffering. Inheritance in this case is more of a curse. I have seen things that should remain hidden and learned that the world is a game of lies and broken promises. But then a woman came out of the darkness - without warning, without meaning. It didn't fit my rules or my warped world.

And yet she shattered all my defensive walls with one look. Something in me died, but something else awoke. And I can never go back to where I was. I won't say her name because if I do, there's no going back.
