ENVIRONMENT
Air bases, historic buildings and jungles
Cam Lao Nam is a vast 300km² terrain that allows you to create and experience missions from different phases of the Vietnam War. This unique sandbox offers a rich variety of environments, from the US airbase in Pleiku to the historic citadel in Huế to the dangerous jungles and hidden camps along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The new update adds authentic locations such as the US Embassy in Saigon and the Hanoi Train Station.
VIETNAM
Intense fighting and reconnaissance operations
Khe Sanh is a 225 km² terrain nestled in the province of Quang Tri brings. The detailed world features the giant US combat base Khe Sanh, the Special Forces camps at Lang Vei and Khe Sanh Village, as well as the historic French fortress. Players can engage in missions in 50 scattered settlements, defend against enemy forces in the surrounding hills, and even explore hidden camps and tunnels along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
LAOS
Intense close-range combat
Cam Lao Nam, a 25 km² terrain, brings you to the heart of Laos, specifically to the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail section, nicknamed the Horseshoe because of its shape visible from the air. Offers the ability to create and play missions in enemy territory where you can infiltrate Camp Striker to launch hidden patrols, call in airstrikes on PAVN supply convoys, and explore hidden bases and tunnels.
GUNS
Historical weapons and clothing
S. O. G. Prairie Fire brings a rich arsenal to Arma 3 with 67 unique weapons, realistic animations, sounds and a wide range of accessories, including 61 deadly grenades and special items. You can equip your characters with 65 different uniforms, 60 vests, 41 backpacks and 59 helmets and headgear that faithfully reflect the military equipment of the Vietnam War. The gear was created in collaboration with US Special Forces veterans, ensuring a high level of historical accuracy and authenticity.
VEHICLES
A great arsenal for jungle warfare
S. O. G. Prairie Fire brings a vast arsenal of 38 new vehicles and 41 static weapons to Arma 3, reflecting the realities of war in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. You'll have a wide range of military assets at your disposal, from different variants of helicopters, tanks, armoured personnel carriers and aircraft, to combat boats and vehicles adapted for jungle and mountain operations.
CAMPAIGN
Co-operative campaign for up to 14 players
As a member of Columbia's elite reconnaissance team under the command of MACV-SOG, you will be deployed to covert operations in Laos and Cambodia. Prepare for intense action behind enemy lines where you will face the constant threat of detection and destruction. The campaign offers six dynamic, repeatable missions with the ability to seamlessly connect and disconnect players. Additionally, a progress save feature has been added for solo multiplayer play, and update 1.2 expands the campaign with two new missions and improved air support options.
SINGLEPLAYER
Scenarios for one
S. O. G. Prairie Fire offers five new single-player scenarios that immerse you in the atmosphere of the Vietnam War. Two of these missions serve as demonstrations, where you will learn about authentic weapons, vehicles and other equipment from the period. The third scenario, fully dubbed, takes you right into the heart of the jungle, where you will experience intense combat from the perspective of both MACV and the Vietnam People's Army. Plus, you can try out the bonus helicopter mission Ash and Trash.
MULTIPLAYER
Multiplayer Missions
S. O. G. Prairie Fire brings 17 new multiplayer scenarios to the Cam Lao Nam terrain, designed for modes like Arma 3 Warlords, End Game, Zeus and Escape. In addition, there is a bonus Ash and Trash mission where you can take a routine helicopter flight and explore the Vietnamese landscape. The Creator DLC also adds a revamped multiplayer menu and an improved server browser that makes it easier to find and connect to games.
