Anteater in a Counting Book

An original, fun and unforgettable collection of fairy tales by the unique Miloš Macourek. The brilliant author of a number of popular children's books (Mach and Šebestová, Žofka, Jakub a dvě stě dědečků…) and many film scripts (for example, Who Wants to Kill Jessie?, Four Murders Are Enough, Darling, You Are a Widow, Sir!, Arabela…) published the fairy tale book Mravenečník v početnici (An Anteater in an Arithmetic Book) as his third work in 1966. It immediately became the most popular children's book not only for his generation of peers. The fantasy, humour, absurd situations, and endless imagination made these fairy tales a fundamental literary work for all subsequent generations. Both performers, Kryštof Bartoš and Radek Melša, play with the imagery of the situations in these fairy tales (for example, when a little boy turns into a sideboard) with gusto, joy, and enthusiasm. They shape the unexpected fairy tale events and multiply them with their playful delivery.
