Actually quite good
A bittersweet story about the uncertainty of contemporary concepts of love, friendship, and the search for what is called happiness.
Maggie is getting divorced. She is broke, her doctoral thesis has stalled, she doesn't enjoy her job at the university, and her marriage only lasted six hundred and eight days. She's twenty-nine, and she'd been dating her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jon, since secondary school, but their relationship has fizzled out.
She is going through what others managed a decade earlier – she's single, she has to make her own decisions and take care of everything herself. In addition, she is discovering how traumatic the breakdown of a relationship can be, even if she doesn't want to admit it. She fills her time searching for relationships on Tinder, communicating on social media, and trying out various sports and artistic activities.
Somewhere between flirting with bisexuality, bouldering, and axe throwing, she tries to figure out if divorce is a personal failure, how to cope with it, and how to find a new purpose in life. She gradually realises that sometimes you can't do it all on your own.
