A wonderful time of life

Twenty-six-year-old Erin has everything she's ever dreamed of – a great job, a loving fiancé and a best friend she can always count on. Or so she thought before she caught her fiancé and her friend in bed together. Her life is in ruins and she decides to cut herself off from him and move elsewhere.

Eighty-eight-year-old Lydia, shaken by the sudden loss of her husband, discovers shortly after his death that not only did he not tell her everything, but he left her in crippling debt. In order to be able to repay them, she decides to rent out one of the rooms of her house. And that's how he meets Erin.

Both sarcastic, but sensitive women will hit it off, and later, when they find a letter from Jack in the attic of Lydia's house, Lydia's first love, she hasn't spoken to in 50 years, plus he's gonna try to revive Lydia's original antique shop, embarking on perhaps the greatest adventure of their lives.

A touching but witty story told with love in every sense of the word – friendly, maternal and romantic. The novel A Wonderful Time to Live is full of sadness, tears and betrayal, but friendship, courage for a new beginning, a sense of humour and perhaps even love can overcome them.
