A narrator from Auschwitz

Writer Etta Weil had to leave the apartment overlooking the Seine, where she created her novels, and walk through the dark gates of Auschwitz. But in the face of the shocking reality, she did not give up, she refused to lose faith in fantasy and tried to escape to a better world through her story. Her stories gave inner strength and hope not only to her but also to other women. But in the camp, death awaited at every turn, and so a firm determination was born in Etty – to survive and write about it all someday. To bring back life to the people she loved. A person only truly dies when they are forgotten.
