A. C. Doyle: The Disappearance of the Special Train

Two short stories by A. C. Doyle. Holmes' spiritual father was fond of stories with unexplained mystery. The disappearance of the special train abounds with it: “. in broad daylight, on a June afternoon, in the most densely populated part of England, the train and its passengers disappeared as perfectly as if some alchemist had turned it into gas. "From a doctor's memoirs - Doyle this time presents himself as a doctor (which was his civil profession). Aside from the story itself, the story is an interesting testimony to how medicine, healing, disease, cause and effect were viewed a hundred years ago.
