TENCEL fibre

When it comes to sustainability, Tencel must not be forgotten. Tencel fibre is made from eucalyptus wood using a similar process to viscose. Tencel is a soft and pleasant fabric that retains high strength. Compared to cotton, it has several advantages. Tencel production is more environmentally friendly. Eucalypts are grown in sustainable plantations with one-tenth the pesticides and artificial fertilizers. At the same time, they need a minimum of water compared to cotton. Tencel has excellent moisture absorption properties - like linen or hemp, it can wick moisture away from the fibre to a high degree.
