Marantz's HD-CD1 is a high quality CD player that combines more than 30 years of knowledge and experience with the latest developments in digital audio processing technology. The 192kHz/24bit high-resolution digital-analogue converter from Cirrus Logic is used to convert the digital signal. High-precision system clocks and the famous Marantz HDAM-SA2 amplifier modules are fitted with CD and Rear Series Amplifiers. A centrally located transport CD drive with ultra-precise data read from the disc plays MP3, WMA and AAC files as well as a standard CD. In addition to analogue outputs, digital outputs, you can also have optical and coaxial outputs available.
The HD-CD1 is compact, however don’t be misguided by its size. The advanced Marantz technology dominated by HDAM's Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules is unlike the generally-used all-in-one integrated amplifier circuits. The best possible sound is achieved by using miniature amplifiers made up of discrete and mutually optimised components that can be found across all amplifiers and players including the Marantz Reference series. HD-CD1 Player uses the latest generation of HDAM-SA2 and provides a large dynamic range and wide frequency response with the lowest sound distortion. In other words, it gets you closer to music. HDAM technology is also used in the dedicated headphone amplifier section.
