USB 3.0 to accelerate your work

The USB 3.0 interface, along with two professional 7200RPM hard drives, which are pre-set in RAID 0, provide a data transfer rate of up to 210MB/sec. The device is 2 times faster than FireWire 800 and up to 6 times faster than USB 2.0. Of course, compatibility with both PC and Mac platforms is guaranteed and the device can be connected to older computers with FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 connectors.

RAID for speed and security

With the LaCie 2big Quadra, your data protection is a priority. The device offers RAID 1 and the drives can be changed while running to protect your data even when the drive fails. Simply plug in a new drive without shutting down the device and all of your data will, of course, stay in place. In addition, the sophisticated cable system keeps all cables securely attached.

Advanced cooling system

LaCie has completely reworked the cooling system, which now consists of three key components: the aluminium cover, the silent fan and large ventilation openings. The metal cover efficiently dissipates the heat and together with the fan with magnetic levitation, generates zero vibrations and friction. Because of effective heat dissipation, the lifespan of individual components is extended.

Designed for comfort

Because of the compact design, you can place the device vertically to reduce the occupied area on your desk. You also have the option to set up e-mail alerts about potential disk problems and prevent potential problems before they actually occur.
