KOUWELL KW-5101

Affordable FireWire controller featuring a modern PCI Express x1 interface. The card offers two external IEEE 1394a FireWire 400 Mbit/s connectors. The controller features Texas Instruments branding chip. Its Low-Profile architecture makes it a perfect fit even for miniature computer stations. The package includes a mounting rail for standard expansion slots. The connecting of high-power peripherals requires an external power source facilitated  via  the floppy disk power connector.

The controller is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, and XP operating systems. Mac OS 2.5.10 and higher are also supported. The card complies with the EU RoHS hazardous substances directive making it much more environmentally friendly.
