Sony PlayStation 4 is slowly creeping into the gaming dens of diligent game fans. They are motivated by the exclusive titles created just for them. Knack holds the primacy of the first such announced piece. It is originally an animated film that turns into a 3D platform game with action elements. It is evident that the expectations were set high and this game clearly became a great choice for a launch title of a new gaming device.
Mark Cerny is the ingenious designer of Czech origin, who is involved in several successful series and is also responsible for this game. The story itself revolves around a slightly mad scientist and his team examining specific artefacts of forgotten civilizations. One day, they succeed in reviving one of them and they give rise to Knack. At first glance, it is a cute creatures but it has a special ability — the ability to grow very large.
In the idle mode, Knack is easy to overlook as he is hardly one meter tall. However, it takes only a single attack of marauding goblins and it starts changing based on its surroundings. Diverse environments gives rise to original forms. The gigantic monster composed of debris of a parking house looks completely different from that created in the middle of a scientific laboratory.
The combat system is a lot of fun. The gradual acquisition of knockout combo strikes is, simply put, appealing. There are also special attacks in the form of a tornado or bombs. The levels include the popular hidden rooms, where about 60 powerful artefacts are waiting to be discovered. The more you find, the stronger Knack becomes.
