Klipsch Speakers Offer Deep Bass and Natural Highs
The Klipsch R-60M speakers are equipped with 165mm (6.5") thermoformed crystalline polymer woofers, a technology adopted from the Reference Premiere series, which ensures deep, clean, and precise bass with minimal sound distortion, even at higher volumes. There is also a rear bass reflex port, which serves to enhance and improve bass frequencies through the acoustic pressure inside the cabinet. The speakers also feature a 1" aluminium LTS tweeter with a Kapton suspension, which minimises sound distortion and ensures detailed and natural highs.
Patented Tractrix Horn Waveguide Technology
One of the advantages of the Klipsch R-60M speakers is the patented Tractrix Horn technology, which is a specific type of horn-shaped waveguide that allows for the smooth propagation of sound waves. This is a key element that gives Klipsch speakers their characteristic dynamic sound. The large square surface of the horn directs high frequencies directly to the listener's ears without the sound reflecting off the floor or ceiling. The result is an exceptionally clean and detailed sound performance with solid spatial localisation (surround sound), which you will appreciate when listening to music and watching films. The Klipsch R-60M features the latest version of the horn with 90° × 90° dispersion, ensuring symmetrical sound propagation at a 90-degree angle both horizontally and vertically.
High-Performance Passive Speakers for Versatile Use
The Klipsch R-60M speakers are passive, meaning they require a connection to an external amplifier or receiver, into which you plug the sound source and then run standard speaker cables to the speakers. The Klipsch R-60M have a high sensitivity of 93.5 dB with a standard impedance of 8 Ω, which means that a standard amplifier or AV receiver is all they need to play loudly. The speakers are also ideal for use with a turntable or as part of a home cinema. They are versatile speakers that will be appreciated by both budding audiophiles and experienced users looking to expand their home audio setup.
The KLIPSCH R-60M Have a Modern and Elegant Design
In addition to their high performance, the Klipsch R-60M speakers also offer a very elegant design that fits well into both modern and classic interiors. You will certainly appreciate the premium elements, such as the bottom bass woofers in the typical copper finish, which contrast perfectly with the black body of the speakers. The cabinet is made from MDF panels coated in black vinyl with a wood texture, which is resistant to scratches and fingerprints. The modern and elegant look of the speakers is enhanced by concealed fasteners and magnetic protective grilles. The package also includes rubber pads that reduce the level of vibration.
System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier in its body, and to listen, all you need to do is connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly.Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended more for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect various sources through a separate amplifier.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent sound signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in the format X.Y (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It denotes how many sound tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and higher).Specifications
