Extremely powerful processor with Broadwell-EP chip produced with a new 14nm manufacturing process. It has 10 cores and is designed primarily for servers, but also classic computer workstations. A new technology delivers higher performance, and that is achieved with a higher number of cores and higher capacity LLC. This model offers a total of 10 physical cores and can process up to 16 processor threads at once due to hyperthreading. It uses 14nm manufacturing technology and compared to generation Haswell, this processor has a 5% better IPC (interprocessor communication).
There are a newly added new instruction sets that offer higher performance at the same clock rate. Each core runs at 2.1GHz, and can automatically overclock up to 3GHz with the Turbo mode if necessary.
