Intel is a world-renowned company that needs no introduction. For many years, it has been one of the world's largest manufacturers of processors and chips. It is now launching the best desktop processors which are scaled-down versions of bigger processors. In essence, this is a server version adapted for gaming. The Intel Core i9-7900X DELID processor has been designed for motherboards equipped with the LGA 2066 socket and the upgraded Intel X299 chipset.
The Intel Core i9-7900X DELID offers 10 physical cores and is part of a new, modern X Series. It uses a 14nm manufacturing process utilising the latest technology available. Each kernel runs at a basic frequency of 3.3GHz with Turbo mode and automatic overclocking up to 4.3GHz. As with the previous generation, the memory controller is directly integrated into the chip. It is a four-channel DDR4 memory controller that can now operate at up to 2666MHz. The processor also has a cache of 13.75MB.
Since it serves mainly desktop processors, the Intel Core i9-7900X DELID comes with advanced technology that pulls the most from every processor. The Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology is able to test each kernel individually and choose the best. At the upper power limit, the difference may be 15%. This selected kernel will then continue to run at the maximum frequency, and the system will preferentially use it.
