Intel is releasing already the 7th generation of its "i" processors, this time codenamed Kaby Lake. Basically, the architecture is similar to the previous successful Skylake series. Intel, however, has worked on optimizations and the result is a processor that delivers real performance growth while maintaining minimal energy demand.
The Kaby Lake architecture is based on the 14nm manufacturing process. What seemed to be almost impossible in the beginning is now a piece of cake for Intel, which manufactures its processors with stunning excellence, providing great performance for a great price. This processor is equipped with AES-NI instructions that provide much better hardware support when working with encrypted drives, with a noticeable reduction in latency. The support for the usual virtualization features VT-d and VT-x including EPT is a matter of course. The quad core Intel Core i5-7600T works reliably up to 3.7GHz.
Access to data is greatly facilitated by the fast 8MB L3 cache that gives cores enough time to instantly respond to all applications. This excellent processor will surely serve as a reliable foundation for your computer set.
Thanks to Intel's focus on optimizing existing technology, the new Kaby Lake processors are compatible with the already existing motherboards with 1151 slots. The only necessity is to verify compatibility with the motherboard manufacturer and make a relatively simple update of the UEFI environment.
