The HTC Vive Cosmos is a virtual reality headset that doesn't require external laser motion sensors. This makes them much simpler to use almost anywhere. The virtual reality headset has a total of six integrated cameras that take care of spatial orientation. The HTC Vive Cosmos targets beginners and users who have never purchased a VR headset before. At the same time, it will also bring a great experience to fans who already have some experience with virtual reality.

What does HTC promise for the new Vive Cosmos VR goggles? For one thing, it's an all-new display with minimised dark transitions between pixels, which is a big problem with first-generation VR headsets. Also worth noting is the very solid 2880×1700 pixel display resolution. Along with this all comes a revamped position and motion tracking system, giving HTC precision tracking, gesture control, and 6DOF.
HTC intends to focus heavily on content as well. In fact, it's preparing a subscription virtual reality app from the Viveport store called Infinity, as well as a yet-secretive virtual environment called the Vive Reality System.
An interesting new feature is a tilting visor with a display, which allows you to take care of everything you need to do and then get back to reality quickly and easily. The head bridge itself has also been redesigned using a simple hoop. This also results in a lighter headset than previous models, and the resulting weight of just 651 grams puts the HTC Vive Cosmos at the top of this brand's product range.
The all-new controllers are designed for ergonomic control of games and apps. In addition to a modern design and attractive backlighting, they offer a new layout of the controls, i.e. buttons and joystick. The controllers are of course completely wireless.
