The Honeywell instrument is equipped with five soft grey keys (2 directly accessible on the front panel and 3 hidden) and a large, clear 30 × 65 mm display with backlighting for easy viewing in all lighting conditions. The accurate and easy-to-read LCD display shows the time, day of the week, room temperature in 0.1°C increments and the selected heating mode (automatic/manual). The controller is easy to use and allows you to check the current settings at a glance. Practical is also mthe option of installing the thermostat between a surface mounted version using a stand or a wall mounted version.
Easy intuitive operation
This intelligent central heating controller works in automatic or manual mode. Automatic temperature mode can be pre-programmed to create a preset schedule for each day of the week with 4 settings. In this mode, the thermostat executes the selected program. Honeywell Home TPI's self-learning algorithm for smart heating control provides more efficient boiler control and heating cycle selection for maximum system efficiency. Another practical function is the temperature bypass, which temporarily suppresses the schedule until the next programmed desired temperature, or the +1 h function, which changes the temperature for only 1 hour. By selecting the manual mode, it maintains a constant set temperature.
Optimization functions
The Honeywell thermostat is equipped with optimization features designed to save energy while maintaining adequate comfort levels. With Optimum Start, the system will detect how long it takes your home to reach the set temperature and will switch on the heating slightly in advance to reach this temperature in the programmed time, Delayed Start saves energy by slightly delaying the start of the heating depending on the difference between the set temperature and the room temperature. The closer these temperatures are to each other, the more the switching on of the heating is delayed, and Optimum Stop (optimisation of heating time) saves energy by switching off slightly ahead of the programmed time. The optimization will have no effect on the temperature, but the difference should have a positive effect on the heating bill.
Other useful features of the Honeywell thermostat
The Honeywell thermostat can also be put into Frost Protection mode, where it maintains the set frost protection value during extended periods of absence. The frost protection setting is pre-programmed to 10 °C. The thermostat is equipped with an On/Off button allowing it to switch to sleep mode without affecting the clock or program settings when it is not needed (for example, in summer). Useful features include a lock option to prevent unwanted or unauthorized interaction, automatic clock setting for Daylight Saving Time (DST), and a low battery indicator that warns the user at 10% battery capacity.
