The Ubiquiti UniFi SFP Wizard meter is used for diagnosing, testing, and reprogramming optical modules directly in the field. The device communicates with the UniFi mobile app via a BLE wireless interface, while the integrated touchscreen displays the current status and measured values. The polycarbonate construction weighs 84g and measures 90.8 × 52.1 × 20.2mm. The device supports a wide range of standard formats including SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, and QSFP28. The physical interface consists of slots for these modules and one 1.9" LCM touchscreen display. The system unlocks universal compatibility for optical transceivers from various manufacturers. Diagnostics
The device performs a complete diagnosis of optical transceivers and supports OTA wireless firmware updates. The UniFi mobile app requires iOS version 10.29.1 or Android 10.30.2 and later. Users can run tests and configurations directly from their mobile phone. The meter operates in a temperature range of 0 to 40°C.
Power and Battery Life
Power is provided by a rechargeable Li-ion battery with a voltage of 3.7V DC and a capacity of 300mAh. Charging is done via a USB-C port with a supported voltage of 5V DC and a current of 0.5A. The battery lasts for up to 75 minutes of continuous measurement of SFP transceivers with the laser on. When diagnosing QSFP modules, the operating time drops to 35 minutes. The total power consumption is 0.6W.
