Luxurious Quartz Vase 

Catherine Merrick designed this modern and luxurious quartz vase, revealing it at the Nachtmann NEXTGEN contest in 2011. The competition focused on young and talented designers attending the Pratt Institute in New York. Merrick suggested that her work was inspired by the rocky shores of the East River, which separates Long Island from Manhattan in New York. The mineral structure of quartz provides so much beauty that it has been transferred to the Quartz design collection.
