FISKARS Universal Axe XS - X14

The Fiskars X14 universal axe is designed for a wide range of tasks, from splitting smaller logs to preparing kindling. With a total length of 35.5cm and a weight of 800g, it's ideal for one-handed use. The balance between the head and the handle helps you achieve a faster swing speed. The lightweight and durable FiberComp handle is robust and absorbs shock, while the non-slip SoftGrip™ surface ensures a secure grip.

Axe head and blade

The axe head is made of forged carbon steel, which undergoes a double-hardening process. This procedure increases its strength and keeps it sharper for longer. The blade has a special coating that reduces friction as it cuts through wood and also protects it from corrosion. This helps the axe slide out of the log more easily. The design, featuring a wider blade and splitting wedge, aids splitting. The head is embedded into the handle, creating a solid connection.

FiberComp™ handle

The X14 axe's handle uses FiberComp™ material, which is both lightweight and strong. This makes it durable and helps absorb shocks during use. The handle's grip area is covered with a structured non-slip SoftGrip layer, which provides a firm hold. The ergonomically curved end of the handle supports a secure grip and features a hole for hanging.

Handling and storage

The Fiskars X14 axe comes with a case that protects the blade during transport and storage. This plastic protective case has a locking mechanism that is easy to open and close. The case also includes a loop for attaching it to a belt. Its weight and balance make the axe suitable for one-handed work.
