It is formed chemically during the hydrolysis of automotive urea. AdBlue is used in diesel engines in combination with SCR technology, which reduces the content of harmful emissions. It is injected into the catalyst of the SCR system, where it causes a chemical reaction together with ammonia. In it, toxic nitrogen oxides are converted into nitrogen and water vapor.
