The new AMD Radeon graphics cards series introduces its basic model, the RX 550. The card is based on the brand-new Polaris architecture, utilising the 12 to 14nm chip production technology. While being extremely economical, it can still provide solid performance for less demanding games. The core is clocked at 1 219 MHz.
The Radeon RX 550 packs 512 stream processors and a computing power of 1.7 teraflops. The high-performance core is married to a 2GB GDDR5 memory running at 7 000 MHz. As you would expect, the card also offers all the traditional conveniences of the Radeon ecosystem, such as AMD Eyefinity and AMD FreeSync. The DisplayPort 1.4 port can handle displays with a resolution up to 8K without a hitch.
GIGABYTE has fitted the RX 550 with its very own Windforce 2X cooling system. Carefully designed, it features two unique blade fans delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity at extremely low noise levels. The distinctive 3D design ensures a lower temperature compared to the ordinary AMD Radeon RX 550.
The intuitive AORUS Graphic Engine utility helps gamers easily adjust the performance and features of the card to meet their various requirements. The cutting-edge interface allows to set the fan speed, clock speeds, or voltage. The software also monitors the status of the card and allows performance tuning according to real-time needs.
