The Pascal GP104 graphics core features 1920 CUDA cores with 120 texture units. The base clock cycle is beautiful at 1632 MHz, and it soars during the Boost mode up to an impressive 16,835 MHz.

Gigabyte wants to operate under the fingers of the most enthusiastic gamers. The special AORUS model offers a record-setting overclock of the GTX 1070 chip. This amount of power requires good quality cooling, which in this case is provided by WindForce technology. The cooler consists of three layers. The top is formed by three 100mm fans with ball bearings, of which the middle is recessed and rotates opposite of the others. Underneath the fans is a large aluminium passivity, complete with several heatpiping tubes for better heat dissipation. The third layer then closes it off with a copper metal backplate. It is also worth mentioning the handy 3D Active Fan cooling function that shuts down the fans in the case of minimal GPU load and thus reduces the noise of the whole ensemble.
Advanced personalisation options
Having a transparent sidewall on your PC is another reason to purchase this particular model. The GIGABYTE logo is engraved on the back of the card and illuminated by subtle LED lights. The LED backlighting can be adjusted to your favourite colour combinations. In addition, the fan is also lit and it is possible to read the status of the fan based on the level of illumination.
